365 Day 5 & 6

Day 5 & 6 ready for the blog and trying to figure out day 7 today. Proud of myself for getting the camera out every day for a week!

Day 5 – the Toys R Us catalog came today — it is now circled in red..lots of red!
Day 6 – He wanted to make dinner. He chose breakfast for dinner and cracked the eggs, made oatmeal and washed the fruit all by himself! Super proud of him.:)

365 Project

I have always loved photography. I have thousands of photos printed from the age of 8+. It was not until after the birth of my first child that I really wanted to learn how to properly photograph someone. I wanted my family pictures to look amazing, every time. For a while, I was really good at bringing out my big girl camera. In the last two years, not so much. The past two years I have documented our lives daily via Instagram @shannon_abbott01, but I rarely bring out my DSLR camera to document their lives. That is all changing today. Today I start a 365 project to document our life for the next year. It is kind of an odd time to start a 365 project but the girls over at Click It Up a Notch and one of my very good friends, Jessica, have inspired me to start today!! I am looking forward to sharing these daily moments with you all…and looking forward to challenging myself as a photographer.

This morning the kids had to sort through their candy to decide what they want to keep and what they want to donate. It was a tough decision.:)

My Cowboy Superhero

Last week I took my middle one out for a little special date. At his request, we started off with a few pictures. I let him choose the things we brought along and I let him call some of the shots. We had so much fun together. It had been a rough day around here, filled with lots of emotions and opinions but as soon as it was just the two of us, all of that magically disappeared.

The S Family – Coppell Family Photographer

Another fantastic Texas session!!! This beautiful Momma is one of my childhood friends as well. She has the absolute cutest kids. We have tried to work out photography sessions the last two times I was visiting, but things just had not worked out for us. This time we knew we would get our pictures done no matter what! It was HOT the day of their session….like well into the 90s and they were dressed for fall. We were all sweating buckets but everyone was SO good!

This Mom also sells some fantastic skin care, if you are interested please check her out here. Your skin will thank you!:)
