Photographer Session – Grapevine Family Session

My good friend Karyn of Karyn Kayle Photography and I recently did a session swap. She did a session with my family and then a couple of weeks later I was able to photograp her family. Karyn and I met late this summer. We discovered that we were in the same moms group at a local church. The next day, we met again at preschool orientation. Then a week or so later we ran into each other checking our kids into church child care. A few weeks after that we discovered that we had both lived in the same area previously and after getting to know each other a little better we realized that we were both photographers (who were considering jumping back into business). I truly believe that God puts people into your life for a reason and I am so happy to say that I know Karyn and her family. It was so much fun to photograp her family! Her kids are really just a joy. Her husband is so laid-back and easy going. I hope we get to do more session swaps in the future!:)

Two Weeks Old – Flower Mound Newborn Photographer

Back in October, I had the opportunity to photograph this sweet baby girl right as she was turning two weeks old. Her grandparents were visiting from California and the Mom really wanted me to get a few pictures of her parents with their youngest grandchild. Watching the grandparents interact with the newest member of their family made my heart happy. I love these photos so much! I loved how Grandma laughed about the big, giant bows that I had with me. She was not a big fan and thinks babies are better looking without any accessories. ūüėČ

This was a quick session, which we completed in just less than an hour. Typical posed newborn sessions take 2-3 hours to complete. However, I am moving to doing less posed images and more lifestyle newborn images. These lifestyle newborn sessions are much quicker and we are able to document so many more sweet moments and details with your newborn baby!

G family, I was such a pleasure to work with you all!

The D Family – Reston Town Center Session

This family is one of my favorites! ¬†First of all they always have something creative they want to do during their sessions — it might be incorporating their favorite teams (Washington Capitals or Redskins) gear into their session or it might be just trying out a new location. ¬†Secondly, the Mama always has on some KILLER shoes. ¬†I mean check out her awesome heels!! ¬†Finally — they are just great people. ¬†:)¬†I have had the opportunity to photograph them at least once a year since this little guy was born! At our session this year he was just a few days away from turning 3 years old. When he started having a conversation with me in full sentences I was nearly blown away. It is so wonderful to photograph families year after year. Now that I live in a different state, I only get to see many of my Virginia clients once a year at the most and seeing how much families change in a year is incredible! We have used many parks for their past sessions but this time the Mom wanted to try something a little different! She asked if we could do the session bright and early one Sunday morning in Reston Town Center. The location was PERFECT!!! I had the best time exploring the town center with them and I think the images we got from their session are some of my favorites from this entire fall!

D Family, thank you for allowing me to photograh your family again. It was truly a pleasure! I hope to be able to come back next fall!:)

The H Family – Denton Mini Session

Here is another gallery from the mini sessions I did with Karyn of Karyn Kayle Photography! We will be working together again sometime this spring to do wildflower mini sessions. Make sure you like both of our Facebook pages to receive information about the minis coming this spring!

This was my first time meeting this incredible family! Their little girl is the absolute sweetest and her squinty nosed smile is something that I know her parents really wanted us to capture in a photograph! Working with the H family was an absolute breeze! Narrowing down images from this session was also a challenge as every single image was fantastic! H family, it was such a pleasure to meet y’all!

This session was shot at a very popular location in Flower Mound, TX. I love this location but it can often be very crowded with other photographers. If you are interested in this location for your session then consider doing your session on a weekday or very early in the morning. The H family was the very first session of the day and they had the place to themselves.

The H Family – Mini Session

Back in November I did mini sessions with one of my best photographer friends, Karyn. Karyn is with Karyn Kayle Photography and she is fantastic! We worked together and did mini sessions at the same time for several families. It was so much fun to work with another photographer and combine our images to give families some truly incredible galleries! We will be working together again sometime this spring to do wildflower mini sessions. Make sure you like both of our Facebook pages to receive information about the minis coming this spring!

The H Family is one of my favorites! This was my third time photographing them in the past year. The boys are just the sweetest (and the parents are pretty great, too)! A few days after this session wrapped, I found out that the mama is expecting a baby GIRL this spring! I am so excited for their entire family for all that is to come in the next few months. These two little boys are going to be the BEST big brothers! I hope to be able to continue to photograph this family as they grow over the years!
